Characters: Jennifer, Jill, Lilian, Paul, Peggy- Lilian is still showing signs of major irritation with Paul. She tells him it is not possible for her to see him on Monday morning and she’ll be at the flat at 1.00 pm as agreed.
- Jennifer is complaining that Pat and Tony didn’t tell them about selling the herd. Brian is much more pragmatic about it. Jennifer wonders if they will get away without being blamed for this at least. Brian is surprised to hear that Jennifer is still holding a grudge against Jim and refusing to go to the Book Club because he will be there. Brian says she should let it go but she says she can’t forgive.
- Lilian is very distracted when taking Peggy to church. She makes a half-hearted attempt to make Peggy change her mind about Jenny’s agency but quickly gives up. Peggy wonders what is the matter – she is normally more stubborn. Lilian just says it is tiredness over the paper mill conversion. Peggy says she’ll get through it. She and Matt make such a good team.
- Peggy moans to Jill about Jennifer being so controlling. She will miss Elona but she is perfectly capable of looking after herself. She also tells Jill that she has made a donation of £1000 to give the organ fund a good start. Jill has given an interview to the Borchester Echo about the Flower Festival. Lilian, rather unsurprisingly, shows no interest.
