Lilian tells all she’s back with Matt. Brian invites Martyn Gibson to lunch.
Radio Times: The peace is restored at Home Farm.
Characters: Adam, Brian, Jennifer, Lilian, Matt- Matt wakes from a nightmare to find Lilian’s there. He thought that was part of the dream too.
- Brian’s enjoying a breakfast without Lilian. Jenny likes it because Ruairi’s at a sleepover with Lily and Freddie. Brian wants to persuade the board’s urban finance director, Martyn Gibson, to back Ed and Mike’s tenancy in the hope the rest of the doubters will follow the money man. Jenny suggests inviting him and his wife for supper. Brian can show him the farm and work on him. The invite’s accepted, but for lunch, and Martyn’s wife can’t make it. Later, Matt says he’ll see if he can come up with tips on how to handle Martyn.
- David’s wary of Ruth’s cooking for his 50th birthday meal but is planning on getting stuffed the day before. Adam’s nervous of Lynda’s ability to stir the ranks over the footpath relocation but David doesn’t think he need worry about the parish council.
- Lilian tells Matt to stop brooding about the worst possible sentence. She takes him to the Bull to have Freda fatten him up. Coincidentally, that’s where Jennifer wants to call in for a drink on the way to Gray Gables for lunch. She’s hoping to ask Jolene for news of Lilian but meets the horse’s mouth. Lilian wastes little time in telling everyone of her and Matt’s reuniting and Brian orders something sparkly, but doesn’t splash out on champers.
