Fallon tries to get along with Wayne. Sid cheers up.

Radio Times: The battle lines are drawn for Adam and Lynda.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Lynda’s contemplating a green burial instead of cremation. Robert points out that he’ll be gone first so she better put it in her will. Was that a hint of hope in his voice? They go for a walk, allowing Lynda to choose the contested footpath and find Adam on his way to the polytunnels. Adam delights in letting Lynda tease from him that he’s just put the planning application in the post.
  • Jolene realises Fallon feels forgiving Wayne for walking out on them would be disloyal to her mum. Jolene explains that Wayne can’t undo what he’s done, but he can try and start from here. Fallon agrees to try too and goes to help him collect glasses. Sid hassles Jolene about Wayne leaving but once again she persuades him to extend the invitation although he wonders if it’s just for Fallon’s benefit.
  • Fallon finds Sid scowling at Wayne. She explains that it’s only because Mum found Sid that she could see Wayne for a loser, move on, and forgive Wayne. When she sees Sid with Jamie she wishes he’d been her dad instead when she was younger, but she’s stuck with Wayne and must make the best of it. This cheers Sid up and he even complements Adam on his captaincy before finding himself on a sticky wicket over Adam’s personal life.
