Matt continues to add to Lilian’s difficulties. Clarrie continues to add to her plans for a floral arrangement.

Radio Times: Eddie has a disturbed night, and Matt demands his pound of flesh.

• Under the guise of concern for Lilian, Matt manages to twist the knife ever deeper. Lilian tells him she will not come into the Crematorium chapel for the service; Matt insists that she does. Afterwards he demonstrates his mastery of the loaded comment, bringing Lilian close to breaking point.
• The Flower Festival is causing Clarrie, and therefore Eddie, sleepless nights. Clarrie rings Nic; they must meet to discuss her latest amendments to the master plan, and Eddie must be there too. But when the plan is revealed, to include a large water feature, both Eddie and Nic are lost for words. They feel the whole thing is way over the top.
• As they return home, Matt continues to play the solicitous partner. When Clarrie calls to ask ‘Lilyun’ for white roses, Lilian can take the pressure no more. Telling Clarrie to take whatever she wants, and shutting the door firmly, Lilian is reduced to hysterical tears.
