  • Newly re-invented as the perfect daughter, Pip offers to cook Sunday lunch to celebrate Father’s Day and Ruth’s birthday. Since Josh is out selling eggs at the farmers’ market, it looks as though he will miss out, though he does phone to wish his parents a good day.
  • Jazzer’s floral espionage moves to new heights as he reports to Clarrie on the latest additions to Christine’s display. Apparently she is incorporating a water feature as well as fairy lights, to portray the Sea of Galilee on which Mary’s father was a trawlerman. Oddly, Clarrie does not seem to sense that Jazzer might be getting a little carried away by his own imagination. But it earns Jazzer a good lunch.
  • Basking in parental fondness and admiration, Pip takes David off to look at a car, which they buy. Pip is all gratitude and charm, though her father is still well aware that she has yet to receive her exam results and confirmation of her placement.
  • Josh does well at the market, and has got details of other markets. He thinks they could do really well there, so he and Phoebe agree to meet later in the week to make plans. When Josh returns to Brookfield he is less than pleased to see Pip back in favour. He finds it hard to believe that she has actually cleared up the kitchen this time.
  • Eddie catches Clarrie looking through his water feature catalogues. If Christine is going down this road, so is Clarrie. Anything Christine can do, Clarrie can do better.
