Neil is not badly hurt and everyone thinks he is a hero but he still agrees to shield Darrell.

Radio Times: Elona is distraught, while a few home truths abound.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Tom is finding it difficult without Brenda. He rings Roy asking to meet up but gets his voice mail. Roy is trying to avoid him. His loyalty is with Brenda. He doesn’t want to get too involved.
  • Neil was only slightly injured in the shooting. Susan is very relieved but shocked. It’s awful to think what might have happened.
  • Elona is furious with Darrell and says she’s had enough of his lies. He feebly says he couldn’t say no and Elona says she doesn’t want to hear it. He is just so weak. It should have been him that was shot, not Neil. He keeps trying to apologise but she says it’s too late for that. What happens if the police find out? Darrell says it will be fine but why wouldn’t Des tell the police. How could he put his family at risk like that.
  • Neil seems to think he can carry on hefting feed bags with only one arm but Roy takes it over for him. He reckons Neil is a real hero though Neil doesn’t think he did anything – just stood in the way of a getaway car and got its number.
  • Darrell panics and talks to Neil but he says, as long as they stick to the same story he’ll be fine.
  • Tom catches up with Roy at the village shop. He asks her about Brenda – he won’t respond to his texts or calls. Roy says she is still pretty upset. Roy tries to tell him things will get better but Tom just says he wants her back.
