Neil takes action against the illegal dog-fight. Paul takes action against his ex-wife.

Radio Times: Paul fights his corner, and there’s been a change of plan for Darrell.

Characters: , , ,
  • Darrell rings Neil in a panic. Des has arranged a fight for tonight and Darrell will have to be there. Neil does his best to calm Darrell, telling him to see the vehicles in and then leave. Neil will ring the police.
  • Since Matt has a business dinner, Paul and Lilian waste no time. Paul wants Lilian to ring Matt suggesting that he stays over at the hotel. That way Paul and Lilian can have the pleasure of waking up together. The ploy fails to work, however, so Paul sends Lilian for a long bath while he prepares a meal.
  • As agreed, Neil rings the police, telling them he was out for a walk when he heard dogs barking and saw vehicles. Immediately after his call Darrell rings again in distress. He can’t go through with the plan. Firmly Neil tells him to get away quickly.
  • With Lilian out of earshot, Paul rings his ex-wife and tries yet again to stop their children going to her wedding, accusing her of turning their children against him. As usual, Celia puts the phone down on him. The conversation is becoming quite a habit. A very tedious habit.
  • As the police arrive at the barn, Neil realises that Darrell is still there. Even worse, he still has his two-way radio. Neil urges him to run for it. The police have blocked all the vehicles in. As they make a run, Des lets loose and Neil falls to the ground.
  • As Lilian emerges from her bath, Paul tells her he has a surprise for her next week. They both deserve a treat.
