  • Brian is suffering a bit after his trip to the osteopath. He’s in some pain but is surprised to hear that Sid does yoga to help his back. Shula is planning on tossing pancakes on cricket bats for fundraising. Sid is happy with that even though it might conflict with the restaurant. Means they’ll need a new set of posters.
  • Nigel is upset to find a couple of trees have fallen down. Mike thinks it might be climate change. There have been problems in the south of England already. Turns Nigel quite poetic… Mike advises against beeches again, maybe a Mediterranean species would be safer for the long term but Nigel can’t bear the thought of there being no beeches in the park. No point putting their heads in the sand though. But talking to Elizabeth, he gets quite passionate about how lucky he has been and they may not be able to pass the same things onto the children. He really seems quite disturbed.
  • Brian doesn’t like being mollycoddled by Jennifer but he’ll be the one complaining if he can’t fly to Hungary. It makes Brian realise how much he relies on Adam. They also get time to reminisce about when Jack donated the ground for the cricket pitch and half the money for the pavilion. Jennifer and Sid are amazed to find Brian remembers it was in 1982. Amazing to think it was 25 years ago. Maybe they should do something to show Jack how grateful they are. They could make him a Life Member and name the Pavilion after him. They should let him know how they feel while he is still around.
