Ronald Hardwicke phoned, but Julia was nowhere to be found, but Nigel took the call. Later he was confronted by a couple of hulking, ugly henchman. While Julia’s not keen, Hardwicke has agreed to take the money she was able to get for her jewels, £21,000, now and, including a bit of interest, two further payments of £5,00, in three and six months. Nigel, though, insists that Julia must pay these, he’s not willing to help.
One problem to the next for Joe, while his cabbage idea seems to have solved the turkey pecking problem, he’s having trouble finding a pair of black shoes for the fashion parade.
Alistair chats to Sid about their new roles in the cricket club, but Sid seems to have it all sorted out, he’s in charge off the pitch, Alistair’s in charge on. Alistair doesn’t seem convinced by this and gives the impression of being sidelined already.
To try and allay the doubts Shula’s convinced she has, Alistair visits Jill to say how much he loves her daughter and to try to ease her mind. Jill seems comforted by what he has to say.
