  • Oliver is trying to get Caroline to have a decent lunch break but she is determined to keep working. Occupancy rates are still very low. Thrilling to know the details of hotel margins.
  • It seems to be a day for Grey Gables when Helen and Henry bump into Caroline after a swim. Caroline realises how out of touch she is when Helen tells her it’s the sale tomorrow.
  • And then Oliver bumps into Tom. The Sterlings are certainly putting themselves about today! Oliver seems suddenly interested in Bridge Farm. Reinventing yourself and seeking new pastures is the thing. That’s why he sold his farm. But he’s still not convinced Caroline to calm things down much on the work front.
  • Helen is astonished to hear that now Pat and Tony are donating the profits from the tea fund to the organ, Tom decides to donate the profits from Gourmet Grills as well. But she is less impressed that he sees the sale as an advertising opportunity. Pat and Tony have enough to worry about.
  • Oliver has been feeling very left out but he has booked a table at a Michelin Star restaurant for their anniversary. Caroline is thrilled but won’t agree to a stay in a boutique hotel to match because she has an early start. Oliver is not impressed.
  • Helen says she’s beginning to feel the loss of the cows but Tom says it’s exciting. And they aren’t doing it just for themselves, it’s for Henry and future generations. A new beginning.
