Oliver might have to give up the whole dairy project, now Ed has left without a word.

Characters: Alistair, Caroline, Eddie, Oliver, Shula

• Eddie still hasn’t heard from Ed and isn’t very interested that Oliver is asking. Oliver tries to get some sense from Eddie about what might be going on but Eddie is just obstructive – Ed is out causing mayhem somewhere – he’s always been the same, if he doesn’t get what he wants he makes everyone’s life a misery. And then he’ll come back home knowing his mother will forgive him anything. But there is no way, he yells, that he is going to let him wind him up!!!
• Caroline is planning on doing introductory weekends – 2 nights at Grey Gables and either a session at the Stables or at the fishing lake. It was Roy’s idea but Lynda thinks he’s being over ambitious. Caroline thinks they need to bump up their guest forecasts though. She’s also noticed that Shula seems more relaxed and Shula agrees but when Alistair turns up things seem a little awkward.
• Alistair comments that Daniel has been trying to talk about a cottage in France over the summer. Shula says it’s not on but Alistair has been more keen. She wants to make a start on clearing their debts before they start taking on more.
• Oliver is getting really fed up that he’s been dumped by Ed. Eddie is trying to make out he doesn’t care at all! But Oliver is feeling very let down. He might have to sell the Jersey’s again – without a stockman he’s stuck. But he might try to find a way through with Mike.
