  • It’s Open Farm Sunday and Adam is pleased with the way things are going, although more visitors would be welcome. On the other hand Brian’s glass is half empty, so Adam talks him into meeting and greeting, which he does so well.
  • Not being exactly rushed off their feet, Spencer and Pip have time to plan their holiday in September. Pip is disappointed not to have heard from Elizabeth or Lorna about work at Lower Loxley; is this a consequence of her attitude to David? Spencer encourages her to speak again to Elizabeth; it would be good to know whether she and Pip are still OK.
  • The tour continues with Usha as one of the visitors. Tom is doing well with his burger van. David turns up to see how things are going. Could there be a bit of friendly rivalry between the two farms? Adam recruits David to deal with a sheep enquiry for which he doesn’t have time.
  • Kate is taking no part in the day’s events; she’s too busy researching South African schools for Phoebe. Adam predicts that his mum is not going to be happy sbout that venture but perhaps their own search for a school for Ruairidh will take her mind off the issue.
