Paul shows Lilian their new love nest.

Radio Times: Brenda feels harassed. Meanwhile Lilian makes herself at home.

• It’s a bleak day for a funeral but the Archers have turned out in force to support Shula and Daniel as they say goodbye to Bunty. Daniel is being grown up about it and is looking after his grandad.
• How old is Tom? Brenda has an uphill struggle to convince him that he should be more grown up about the lack of a birthday supper. Right now she must ring off because she has things to discuss with Lilian, who has just turned up. However, Lilian doesn’t want to discuss things; she delegates everything to Brenda, including a delicate issue of a tenant who has not been paying regularly. No, Brenda can do that too. Lilian is going out. Matt suggests that she cancels her ‘shopping trip’ to accompany him to a meeting; that’s certainly an offer she can refuse.
• Shula explains to Elizabeth that Reg’s daughter Joanna is keen to move him closer to her and is in a hurry to sell the house. Elizabeth reports her trip to the Adventure Park and – guess what – Ifty was there too; they joined up with his group and had a wonderful time. She also reports that she has identified some small plots on the edge of the estate which, council and trustees permitting, they might sell with planning permission.
• It’s lovely; that’s Lilian’s verdict on the apartment that Paul has rented. He has taken it for six months, initially. Matt will be busy tomorrow, so Paul will stay over; they can spend tomorrow together at an antiques fair buying things for the apartment.
• Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Matt returns to find Brenda not in the best of temper. She gets no sympathy – just a request to make him coffee.
