Characters: Jim, Kirsty, Lilian, Patrick, Paul, Tony- Patrick has some good news for Kirsty: BL have finally agreed a 10 year lease on Arkwright Lake. That means there is a lot of work to do and he is looking for new volunteers. Tony delivers vegetables in the midst of this conversation and is careful to establish the exact nature of Patrick and Kirsty’s friendship before fixing a date for him to visit Bridge Farm; He will be able to meet the rest of the family!
- Jim is working on his next victim – Lilian. His explanation of Roman hairstyles falls on deaf ears; Paul arrives in time to provide an excuse for her to get rid of the batty professor.
- He then moves on to Bridge Farm but his notes on Roman dress and hairstyles are no more welcome there. Tony explains that Pat has found a pair of old duvet covers, so they are sorted for costumes.
- Paul enjoys his lunch and the two of them swap notes on living alone. But for Lilian it will not be long now before Matt is home, so that is really worth looking forward to; that’s Paul’s view but he doesn’t sound as if he really means it.
