Peggy tells Lilian and Tony and while Lilian is supportive, Tony is furious. Lynda is making rather a nuisance of herself to her B&B guests.
Radio Times: Brian faces his family’s wrath.
Characters: Brian, Jennifer, Lilian, Lynda, Peggy, Robert, Tony- Alice still isn’t speaking to Jennifer. She really needs some comfort from Peggy but then Lynda starts asking how they are and Jennifer thinks everyone will pity her. Peggy reminds her that she had to be strong when all the gossip was around about her own father. Jennifer isn’t convinced it’s the same. At least Peggy agrees to tell Tony and Lilian. And Jennifer needs to tell Alan, in case Amy has told him.
- Robert and Tony are happily gossiping about the banning of Netherbourne when he gets the call from Peggy. But Lynda and Robert have enough to talk about with their first B&B guests! Lynda wants to know all about them but Robert tries to convince her they aren’t around to be Lynda’s new best friends.
- Lilian and Tony are rather shocked but Lilian is more supportive than Tony who just seems unbelieving that Jennifer wants this and he isn’t accepting it as read. No one is standing up for Jennifer in this, but Tony isn’t having that. He’s wants to tell it like it is to Brian. Or at least he wants to hear it from Jennifer. Peggy says at least it mustn’t be today. She has enough to contend with.
- Robert tries to convince Lynda to leave the guests alone and not to pester them or to stick up rules and regulations. And especially not about the letter about the llamas to Borchester Life. But Lynda isn’t really hearing….
- Jennifer finds Brian’s Father’s Day card from Alice in the bin. Alice still isn’t speaking to anyone. They keep wondering about whether they were doing the right thing to keep everything from her. Who knows what was right. Brian is going back to Ireland to see how Ruairi is and to get some of his things. And meantime he hasn’t heard from Debbie or Kate. So much for Fathers’ Day.
