Pip and Jill reconcile over the pregnancy. Roy is furious Lexi is still considering surrogacy.
Radio Times: Jill is left stunned while Lexi considers her options.
Characters: Jill, Joe, Lexi, Peggy, Pip, Roy- Lexi tries to bribe Joe for some Tumble Tussocks for a special meal for Roy. He initially claims he doesn’t have any but when she offers two slices of her home made dessert he gives in.
- Pip catches Jill. They have time for a catch up and Pip breaks the news. Initially Jill is really pleased – at least Pip isn’t leaving the farm. But once Pip admits the baby is Toby’s, Jill rushes out in horror.
- Peggy bumps into Joe at a community centre. She has been attending a talk about siamese cats. Joe is there for the cribbage. Peggy is rather puzzled to hear that Robert seemed to have some Tumble Tussocks. She thought it had all gone. Then Jill appears to collect Peggy in quite a state.
- Roy notices that Lexi has been looking at surrogacy sites on the internet. Roy is horrified. She just needs to tell them no. But Lexi wants to know the facts. She wouldn’t want to donate an egg but maybe she could carry the baby. She just wants to find out about it. Roy wants her to ring them and say it is not an option but she won’t. Roy gets more and more cross and so Lexi decides now isn’t the time to talk about it.
- Jill tells Peggy about Pip’s pregnancy. She tried to warn them about the Fairbrothers and now he’s got her pregnant and doesn’t want any more to do with her. Peggy says it sounds as if that is as much Pip’s decision as Toby’s. Jill has to remember that when Jennifer was pregnant with Adam, she didn’t even know who the father was and that worked out well in the end. Peggy thinks they need to do everything they can for Pip and forget Toby. Peggy points out the other option is an abortion and Jill definitely wouldn’t want that. And she will adore her great-grandchild regardless.
- Back at Brookfield Pip and Jill talk. Jill admits she was very shocked but if this is what she wants, she will support her all the way. It will all work out in the end and Jill will do whatever she can to help.
