  • Alice comes across Pip in a state because of a flat tyre. She admits she is in a real state. First Alice sorts out the tyre and then takes Pip home for supper. Alice tries to tell jolly stories about her work and how she has managed to send awful e-mail messages to the wrong people. She got a serious lecture but she got away with it. Everyone makes mistakes and tries to cover them up. Pip says it makes her feel a bit better. Then Christopher has a photo of the pony who is back on her feet. Chris had been asked to look at her feet earlier. So all three decide to go back to visit. Alice decides the pony needs to be called Gem.
  • The ill pony is still not well and can’t get up but Shula is getting quite attached to her. Her temperature is down a bit so the anti biotics may be working. Too early to tell. Lilian is waiting to see Justin after a trip to London to talk about the divorce. Lilian is looking forward to getting rid of Miranda for ever.
  • Justin is absolutely furious once he is back. Miranda has stolen Justin’s barrister from under her nose and she is going for a full out claim. She wants half of his assets including Demara. She is claiming she had a key role in Justin’s business success. He says she did nothing more than a minor secretarial role. Lilian tries to calm him down. A drink seems to help. And if she can hire a fancy brief so can he. If she wants a fight, she can have one.
  • Pip is amazed how good Chris is too Alice – doing the washing up and making her packed lunch. And they never seem to argue. Chris says it is down to give and take. Pip gets a text from Toby and admits to Chris that things aren’t great. They will probably start arguing again. Chris offers her a spare bed. She feels a bit bad but she’ll just text him. Chris thinks that once things are sorted out with Ruth it might help. Yes, things can only get better….
