Pip tells Jude that she is coming travelling with him and Jude, somewhat reluctantly, agrees.

• Eddie is helping out with the Brookfield milking while Ruth goes to a fete committee meeting. There is so much to do even though it’s the same every year. It’s doubtful if Jolene will feel up to managing the beer tent as usual. Eddie thinks he might be able to help out with a clairvoyant who picks race horses. Eddie is convinced for sure.
• Josh and one of the cows are getting in some halter training. It’s a chance for Josh to moan about Pip’s moods. He does pretty well though.
• Pip goes to visit Jude since his phone isn’t working – a surprise to Jude! Jude is surprised she has also left college but is relieved she wasn’t pregnant! She persuades him that they need to start off their “gap year” grape picking until she is 18 because she will never get her parents to agree to helping her get a visa. Jude sounds very doubtful but eventually is persuaded to say he is pleased.
• Ruth and David have made it clear to Pip they aren’t giving her any money if she quits college. Ruth wonders if they should tell her that they will put money into an emergency fund for her but then, that might just make her more determined she can go.
