Problems with the name will not just melt away; with regard to Rob and Helen, is this the bombshell?

Radio Times: Henry gets boisterous, and there is a baby shower in Ambridge.

  • Lilian and Lynda join Leonie to help prepare baby Mowgli for the party. Meanwhile, Helen and Rob make tentative plans to go to the shower with Henry.
  • Later, Emma turns up to the party bearing gifts of baby blankets. Rob arrives, only to find himself utterly discomforted in the presence of so many women, without Helen’s support. Where is she? Peggy has sent a gorgeous knitted baby jacket. Lynda notices that it is a perfect match with Lilian’s offering. Lilian makes a sharp exit.
  • Henry and Helen arrive somewhat late, to be greeted by an irritated Rob. Would he be anything else one wonders? Henry has apparently hit another child and Helen was called into nursery to discuss the matter. She is terribly worried about it all. With an air of notable disdain, having been kept waiting, Rob has to rush off back to work but will discuss it with her later.
  • Lynda and Lilian ponder the problem of the baby’s name. Lynda has a last plan. She presents Leonie with a professionally written horoscope for her son, in which a long list of suggested names are noted, all of which are apparently propitious, somewhat conservative and none of which are Mowgli. Leonie wonders if they have issues with her choice of name and before giving the opportunity of a reply, flounces off upstairs, tired and upset, with her son! Oh dear, a failed plot.
  • Over tea, Helen tells Rob about her conversation with Emma about Henry’s violent outburst. Helen was reassured by Emma that aggression does happen and she is not at all a bad mother. Rob wonders if it may be a form of separation anxiety, brought on by attendance at the nursery. His phone rings; it’s work and Rob rushes into the study to take it.
  • Yet another deception, work it is not… it’s Jess! Rob hisses that he has made it very clear that discussions regarding the divorce must take place through their solicitors. But, says Jess, this is not divorce related. She has something else to tell Rob, something that he really needs to know!
