• David ends up at Home Farm for Sunday lunch while Jill is cooking lunch for Ben’s friends. Lilian is about to move back to the Dower House but Brian will still have to deal with her on Christmas Day. Charlie has now said he’s leaving Berrow Farm in the New Year though it isn’t clear if he’s accepted the new job in Perthshire yet. David says Brookfield would have been sacked by Justin if they’d worked for them – their yields have been well down. Jennifer points out that he really needs to make a fuss of Ruth when she is back on their anniversary.
• Rob, as usual, is taking the touch rugby more seriously. Toby takes the opportunity to flirt with Pip again. So far they’ve got nearly 20 goose orders. Toby makes it clear to Rex he is intending to get Pip into bed. Adam and Ian are still working on plans for the wedding. They still seem happy together to Pip. He gets a friendly text from Ian and plans to head home but then Toby tackles Rex and injures him on his old back injury. Pip is obviously worried and she is the one to take him to hospital.
• David and Brian have a discussion about the CAP and how Ruth is saying New Zealand farming without subsidies is going very well with going back to basics. David and Jennifer say that is what Adam is trying to do but Brian is still convinced he is in the wrong. The farm they visited in the week should have convinced Adam too but Jennifer isn’t so sure. Then David gets a call from Pip to say she needs to stay at the hospital and can’t get hold of Matthew so he needs to go home.
• At the hospital Rex tries to tell Pip that it isn’t just Toby that is interested in her but they get interrupted by the medical team.
