Rob makes it clear he expects everything about the shop to be run past him before Tom settles anything.
Radio Times: Pat is rather taken by surprise and Kirsty’s talking weddings.
Characters: Fallon, Kirsty, Matthew, Pat, Pip, Rob, Tom- Tom, Rob and Pat have a meeting about the shop. Tom is waiting for Helen but Rob says she won’t be coming. Pat is surprised to hear that and suggests she’ll visit after the meeting. Rob insists that it would be fine except Helen was planning an early night.
- Kirsty tells Fallon that she wants to see Helen but Rob is obviously not keen. She’ll try to catch Helen when she’s out and about. Fallon is still struggling with the wedding but Kirsty has at least agreed to help serve. Fallon says she has such a lovely calm manner. Just as they are settling things, Tom appears in the cafe. Kirsty makes a few side remarks but is okay about it. Tom’s main reason is to ask about black pudding. He thinks he has a source of a “local Borsetshire recipe”. Kirsty says she hates it and Fallon agrees it’s an acquired taste.
- Pip was impressed by the milking system in Dorset. Pip thinks David might still have some doubts. She is going to suggest they talk to the Welbys though their bedroom behaviour might have caused some embarrassment.
- Rob uses the opportunity to ask for the “new policy” on non-organic food to be spelt out. Pat is horrified Tom didn’t ask first. Rob suggests Tom should run everything past him in future. Pat agrees.
- Matthew and Pip are enjoying supper when he gets a text saying his next job will be for 6 months in Penrith. Neither of them is really positive about it but at least they will still be able to see each other. It’s just a pity it’s so far from Ambridge.
