Roy and Elizabeth talk; Ruth and David take further steps to sell their farm.
Radio Times: Jill is concerned about Elizabeth, and Ruth and David wonder what she knows.
Characters: Caroline, David, Elizabeth, Jill, Roy, Ruth- Ruth and David discuss whether Jill knows about Elizabeth’s indiscretion. Elizabeth is trying to handle her mess in private, David asserts. Jill comes in and announces she is going to pop in and see Elizabeth.
- Caroline informs Roy that Geraldine, his replacement, seems to be causing problems with the Hunt Ball. Roy offers to call Elizabeth and straighten out the kerfuffle but Caroline is vague.
- David and Ruth find out that the farm they had been considering has had an offer. Farms rarely come on the market; they need to act fast if one comes up again. They wish to leave things until the council announces their decision but then again. . . .
- Elizabeth complains to Jill that Roy has left strings hanging and Geraldine is uncommunicative. Jill urges her daughter to call Roy with the questions. Roy is so obliging that he will surely wish to help, Jill declares.
- Elizabeth calls Roy on his mobile. She grumbles that the Hunt Ball is turning into a nightmare; can she check details with Roy? Roy is clearly disappointed in the reason for the call but he tells her to send a list and he will resolve all the issues. He received the cheque last Friday, Roy says sadly, but when he tries to continue the discussion but finds himself talking to a dead line.
- Ruth is looking online at a stock farm. It can be adapted easily, she thinks. It might be worth a look, she and David both agree. They tell Jill that they are going to have Rodways come and take photos now in case they need to move swiftly on a sale. Jill bravely announces she will start a clean-up if photos are to be taken.
