Radio Times: David refuses to bend the rules

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • Josh is late for cricket practice and Harrison reminds him of all the things he did wrong which led to the theft. Rex brags that Anisha is letter perfect in learning the stats on Darrington.
  • Roy tells Kirsty how all his plans were for nothing because of the family emergency which called Lexi home. Kirsty encourages Roy to speak up now before Lexi’s plane leaves. Roy argues it would be harder for both if he told her about his feelings. Kirsty reluctantly agrees. Later, Roy sees Lexi off at the airport. Lexi isn’t happy to be leaving; both Roy and Lexi are reluctant to leave each other but neither wants to reveal their feelings. Lexi and Roy continue to dance around the declaration of their feelings. Roy tells her he will drop her a What’s App to keep her abreast of Ambridge gossip. Lexi hurries off.
  • Josh tells David that Lily was caught speeding by Lynda. David insists that Josh help stack logs. Josh tries to convince David to put in a claim for his loader on the farm insurance. David tells him that he hadn’t paid for the loader and has no paperwork to prove it was his property. Josh tries to claim that is a minor technicality. David says absolutely not, it would be insurance fraud to place such a claim.
  • The Darrington team has invaded The Bull and Ambridge’s territory. It is clearly provocation but Kenton has decided to take their money. Harrison argues Ambridge should get in all supporters and shout louder. Kirsty announces that the whole Horrobin family will show up, the Barmy Army. Alternate shouting matches between Darrington and Ambridge continue. Josh asks David if he suddenly ‘found’ the right piece of paper, would that work? David is incredulous and asks if Josh plans to add forgery to fraud.
  • Roy shows up at The Bull but he continues to blames himself for not speaking up to Lexi. Kirsty tries to console him. Harrison tries to co-opt Roy for the Darrington shout out. Roy leaves the pub, visibly upset.
