Roy continues to get the wrong end of the stick about Lexi. Ian is furious to hear about Lilian and Adam reluctantly agrees he thinks Lilian is having an affair with Matt.

Radio Times: Ian doesn’t like what he hears. Roy’s confidence takes a knock

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • Adam is preparing his presentation for the board and is rushing around preparing for the pickers’ cricket match. Ian tries to make him eat lunch and wants to know why he is avoiding him. Adam just leaves.
  • Lexi and Kirsty are at the cricket match and enjoying the full experience. Lexi isn’t sure if she wants to get involved but she certainly doesn’t blame the village for the scenes at the fete. Roy turns up at the match with a gorgeous girl called Kit. They’d been to The Bull but Kit couldn’t see anything right about it. So much for letting her see him in his natural environment. She goes to the loo and then texts to say she has just remembered something. Lexi is shocked at how rude it was but Roy says he is glad she has gone. Kirsty leaves them and Roy rather stiltedly refers to there being nothing wrong with a purely physical relationship.
  • Joe and Ed turn up at the cricket too and they chat. Joe even tries to pronounce Lexi’s full name. Joe is trying out a new pony in the trap. She seems to be doing well. Ed isn’t doing so well finding work. Oliver was trying to help him with some hedging earlier. He was glad to have something to do but wouldn’t talk about Caroline. It was really sad. Ed has asked him to come with them on their Bank Holiday treat.
  • Adam admits to Ian that he has been distracted – ever since he saw Lilian sneaking out of Matt’s suite and then kiss him. Ian is appalled. Lilian shouldn’t be playing away. He is really wound up about it. Adam tries to calm him down. The dots look pretty joined up to him. You can always tell. Ian thinks Adam should be more cross too but he says he is trying to be fair. But when pushed Adam does think she is playing away with Matt. He is sure of it.
  • Later Kirsty asks how Roy got on with Lexi. He tells Kirsty she is still obsessed with Constantin. Kirsty finds that very hard to believe. Roy thinks he doesn’t have a chance.
