Ruth appears to be becoming very unwell. Brenda announces her engagement to Adrian.

Radio Times: Brenda causes a stir and Jill is getting worried.

Characters: Ben, David, Jill, Mike, Pat, Tony, Vicky

• David starts the day with a call from Mike that his sheep are out all over the lanes because of fly tippers. That means Ruth has to do the milking. Jill makes breakfast for them. It is clear they are both getting worried about her. Ruth starts saying she feels light headed and Ben tells her she looks terrible. Ben has heard via Chinese whispers that it is Bradley Wiggins coming to present the trophies at Rough and Tumble.
• Vicky sees a photo from Brenda on e-mail and she is flashing a ring. Wait till Mike hears.
• Mike goes to visit Tony to see the new cows. He’s quite impressed but there is going to be a lot of work. Mike also points out that at least one of them isn’t looking well but Tony brushes it away as just them settling in. But Mike admits he’s come round to tell them that Brenda is engaged. She’s coming home to visit later.
• Brenda says her fiancé is called Adrian and has his own software company. She is staying overnight and they have a lot of catching up to do.
• When Ruth gets back from the supermarket she tries to start making Ben’s cake but Jill says she looks as white as a sheet and sends her to bed.
