Ruth frets about Heather’s end and Helen is determined to deny the possibility of a pregnancy.

  • Pat discusses Heather’s death with Tom and both are very sympathetic with the Archer family. Pat thinks Helen is looking tired. Tom wants to sort out the cafe with Helen; they need to talk to Fallon. Helen is baulking about giving the lease to Fallon but Tom wants to get it sorted. Helen announces she will leave it all up to Tom.
  • David brought a hot drink and sugary snacks to Ruth but she declares she needs sleep. David wants to focus on the funeral arrangements and Ruth is sure her mum wants to be buried in Prudhoe next to her husband. David urges Ruth to come home and have a rest. Ruth is worrying about Heather’s end.
  • Fallon is thrilled about Tom’s offer. She doesn’t need to think but she accepts on the spot; she has been dreaming about her own premises forever.
  • David explains all to Pip. She wants to continue with the milking although David wants to take over for her. Ruth comes in and says she wants to work. Pip and Ruth have a good cry.
  • David reminds Ruth and Pip that they are all allowed to grieve. Ruth revisits her decision to make Heather travel to Brookfield. Pip and David attempt to console her. Ruth did the right thing.
  • Pat and Tom are happy with Fallon’s acceptance but Helen is disparaging. She then runs out. Pat goes after Helen and asks her about being sick. Helen claims it is a stomach bug. Pat asks if she is pregnant; Helen denies it and says it is not part of the plan. Pat tries to talk Helen into taking a pregnancy test but Helen declares she is too busy and the test will just have to wait.
