  • Jill doesn’t give up easily but Ruth seems determined to resist all her suggestions to take things easy; is she perhaps burying herself in work to avoid facing up to the cause of her tiredness? Convinced that it is better to know, Jill has bought her a pregnancy test. Truth to tell, Ruth’s ploy isn’t working: ever since Jill suggested that she might be pregnant, she can think of nothing else.
  • Tom is educating Kirsty on the art of warming up as they prepare for the Rough & Tumble Challenge. Elsewhere Rob is putting Ian through his paces; Helen had suggested that they train as a team.
  • Meanwhile Fallon is busy putting the final touches to the course and is resisting Lynda’s offer to help organise the event. Easier said than done! Lynda later muscles in on the committee meeting with a plan for an additional, shorter course, better suited to the more mature villager. The committee agree with Lynda’s plan – provided she organises it – but they keep from her the secret of the identity of the celebrity visitor.
  • Ruth can hardly believe it. The test is positive. She thought Ben was their miracle baby. She is in shock. What on earth is David going to think?
