Shula thinks David has post traumatic stress and offers to get Alistair to talk to him.
Radio Times: Worries mount about David, and Peggy has an afternoon out.
Characters: David, Peggy, Pip, Ruth, Shula, Ted- David is still being thoroughly unpleasant, blaming himself for the drop in the yield and snapping at Ruth as a result. Pip offers to have a talk with him.
- Peggy is looking forward to her U3A meeting. She seems to have got over her problem with Ted and is letting him drive her there and back. She is looking forward to doing something different and enjoyed the talk.
- Pip tells David how well he has done. The Herefords are doing brilliantly and she thinks they could do so much more. More on the website, contacting more butchers etc. David, of course, continues to be negative.
- Shula visits Ruth. She thinks there is more going on with David than just the herd. She thinks it’s because David saw Nigel die. Maybe post traumatic stress. He seems to have run out of all strength and resources. Ruth had just hoped he’d get better but she doesn’t know what to do. A Doctor maybe? Shula suggests counselling but Ruth knows he won’t accept that. Shula will get Alistair to have a talk with him.
