  • As Neil wrestles with a blocked drinking trough, Susan is anxious to show him the new dress she has bought for their holiday. All Neil can say is that it is ‘very nice.’ He thinks the sunhat she has bought him might grow on him though it is rather floppy. Then Susan shows him the swimsuit she bought as well, and Neil’s interest goes up several notches. He offers to make lunch while she tries it on.
  • Rob updates Brian about the workforce and the dairy, and Brian is suitably impressed, even commenting that he is glad Helen is dating someone with common sense. Pat arrives in search of Jennifer, and Rob appears to greet her warmly.
  • As he checks with Neil about covering for the trip to St Lucia, Jazzer does his best to cadge some lunch. Rather reluctantly Neil offers him cheese on toast, but it seems that there is more for Jazzer, as Susan comes downstairs modelling her new swimwear. Susan is mortified and insists Jazzer must not tell anyone what he has seen. Jazzer’s price for erasing the sight from his memory is another slice of cheese on toast.
  • Unable to find Jennifer, Pat helps Brian free a ewe from the fence, then asks him what he feels about recent announcements to the family. Brian makes soothing noises about Jack’s will, but that, of course, is not what Pat wants to talk about. She tells Brian that a bequest can define a relationship; in Peggy’s case leaving her house and estate to Helen and Tom has caused Tony a lot of pain as it implies Peggy has no trust in him. Brian attempts to soothe Pat, suggesting she might be reading too much into it, but Pat is on a roll; it is unjust to Tony and she had hoped for some support, but as she has not found any, she will go and tell Peggy what she thinks.
