  • Over a late breakfast, Shula finds that Dan has had a good time away. As she begins to suggest that they should talk further, Jazzer turns up to go with Dan to the Passion Play and get ready for their roles as Roman guards. Jazzer also has designs on the lovely Alicia who should be helping with their uniforms!
  • Alice and Kirsty prepare to send Chris on his way in his role as Christ when Alice gets a call from the wedding venue. Kirsty goes into concerned mode, but thankfully the play moves on. A little later at the bottom of Lakey Hill, Shula and Peggy find events very realistic, with Chris falling convincingly beneath the weight of the cross. Helen joins them and Peggy moves off to meet up with Christine as planned. Kirsty and Alice witness the dramatic conclusion.
  • Back at The Bull, Chris admits to feeling some discomfort in the play but received nothing but praise from those who saw it. Dan and Jazzer arrive, but it’s Dan that has found favour with Alicia and he’s just on his way to see her. Kirsty learns from Alice that the hotel had got the numbers for catering wrong but everything is fine now. Before Dan leaves, Shula buttonholes him with her delaying plan. However, Dan is firm. His mother still doesn’t get it. He starts his commissioning course on the fourth of May. It is his choice and his life!
  • Over tea, Alice, Helen, Peggy and Kirsty look at photographs of the Passion Play and Kirsty in her wedding dress. She is overwhelmed with everyone’s generosity and with the prospect of joining such a kind and supportive family. Peggy points out that Tom should consider himself to be a very lucky young man.
