The second Local Authority inspection at Grey Gables goes ahead and Joe is no better.

Radio Times: Grey Gables is in the spotlight, and Eddie has a very definite point of view.

Oliver and Caroline are getting ready for the Local Authority inspection and Caroline is very nervous. Lynda isn’t looking forward to her interview either. Caroline snaps at Lynda and apologises later. She is finding it all very stressful.
Joe is still very fragile. Eddie tries to encourage him and says the Doctors say he will improve but Joe is still depressed and makes a ridiculous amount of fuss about his dinner. Eddie loses his temper. He apologises later and tells Joe that he should hold out for more than the £1500 he’s been offered. He deserves it.
Caroline is a bit calmer after the visit but is still very tetchy with Oliver. He keeps stressing they have to stay positive and get on with things as best they can. But Caroline says it’s very hard.
