Toby is surprised, and Jennifer isn’t looking forward to Christmas

Radio Times: Toby’s life is changed for ever and Jennifer fears for her Christmas celebrations

Characters: Jennifer, Johnny, Lilian, Pip, Toby, Tony

• Jennifer is extremely surprised that not only are Lilian and Justin back together, but the wedding is back on too.
• Toby pops round to Rickyard with grapes. Pip tells him that she is still pregnant. He thinks she will re-arrange the appointment, but she says she is keeping the baby.
• Tony is also surprised that he is still going to be a witness. Johnny has a chat with him about the job offer at Home Farm. He’s decided to stay on at college. Tony is delighted.
• Toby and Pip discuss her becoming a mother. He’s concerned that the baby is a result of them having a bit of sexual fun. Pip says she can’t go through with the termination and therefore she is going to have the baby, but she doesn’t want to trap Toby. He ends up storming out.
• Kate wants to go to Lily and Freddie’s party at The Bull, and has had a row because Noluthando doesn’t want her mother there. Jennifer isn’t looking forward to Christmas at all, no Debbie, Alice or Phoebe, just Kate and Noluthando.
• Toby is in the pub, but feels too old to join the party upstairs. Tony doesn’t expect the wedding to go ahead, he’s not going to buy them a wedding present until the last minute.
