Radio Times: Jazzer chances his arm, and Shula makes an offer.
Characters: Caroline, Darrell, Fallon, Jazzer, Kirsty, Shula, Tom- Shula and Caroline enjoy a drink together. Caroline is still worried about the local authority enquiry into Joe’s fall, so they agree to change the subject when Shula asks how it is going. They manage to laugh about the demise of Lynda’s plans for a Jane Austen evening. Apparently Robin Hood and his merry men will be returning to the Ambridge stage instead.
- Preparations for Alice’s birthday bash at Jaxx are under way, and Fallon chats to Kirsty about Brenda’s Russian boyfriend. Kirsty exhibits a certain reluctance to talk about Brenda, and then has to fend off Jazzer, who has failed to attract India Beesborough, so transfers his interest to Kirsty, to the extreme annoyance of Tom.
- Darrell turns up at The Stables and again apologises to Shula. She persuades him to come in for a meal, then renews her offer of a bed for a few nights. This time Darrell accepts, with much gratitude.
- After several failed attempts to talk to Kirsty, Tom finally manages to explain that he and Brenda have moved on; they are still friends but no more. He now realises how strong his feelings are for Kirsty. Kirsty admits that she has always loved him. That’s good, says Tom, because I love you too.
