  • Adam musters his troops for the polytunnel covering. Charlie claims to be impressed but it is clear that his real agenda is to get Adam to support Justin Elliott at the public meeting. Adam isn’t impressed but Charlie says he should at least tell the truth about the things Justin has done. Charlie is obviously passionate about supporting Justin which puzzles Adam.
  • Pat goes to collect Tony from the hospital. It’s clearly still a struggle for him to get around. And he is very shocked at the state of the village as he gets home. The death of Freda is a shock too. But he’s very pleased to be back. He is very pleased to see the temporary shop. It’s just like the old days!
  • It’s a huge welcome home with all the family: Tom, Johnny, Helen, Rob, Peggy. They all celebrate but Rob gets a phone call in the middle of the party from Jess. He accuses her of lying and of sleeping with many other men. He offers her a “generous” settlement from the divorce if she just drops the paternity claim. Jess stands her ground and says he knows the dates fit and if he is so confident that the baby isn’t his, take the DNA test.
  • Pat and Tony and the others drink a toast to Tony with a special bottle of champagne they’d saved from their 40th anniversary. Then Peggy tells Tony that she wants to put things right by changing the will to share everything equally with him and his sisters. She trusts him.
