With Helen’s trial two weeks away, Anna is becoming desperate for substantive information from Helen.
Radio Times: Toby has some explaining to do, and Kaz is feeling powerless.
Characters: Anna, Helen, Jazzer, Kaz, Pip, Toby, Tom- Helen tries to console Kaz, whose mother is in hospital with deep vein thrombosis. Whilst in the interim care of her grandmother, Kaz worries that her children will now be vulnerable to being snatched by her ex-partner. With further disclosures from Kaz about the abusive episodes inflicted by him, Helen can well appreciate why Kaz wants her children nowhere near him.
- Tom bends Jazzer’s ear over Rob’s post with Damara Capital and his clear intention to stick around in Ambridge. It also dawns on Tom that Adam may well now be professionally answerable to Rob. Tom also makes clear to Jazzer that he hasn’t taken all the credit for the smooth running of Bridge Farm in Pat and Tony’s absences. Jazzer feels insecure about Tom’s potential future career progression, which Tom reassures him about. It won’t be the jet-setting jolly that Jazzer implies, but hard work and providing justification and evidence based practice. The truth is that Tom is doing this for Helen, to provide a stable, viable business for her to return to and pick up again and Jazzer can’t argue with that.
- Anna continues to encourage Helen to provide depth to her examples of Rob’s controlling behaviours, but Helen is distracted by Kaz’s news and concerns over her children. She manages to achieve some focus after Anna reminds Helen that they are very short of time.
- Toby attempts an apology about storming out on Pip last week, yet cannot work out how or why it happened. Pip offers some insight into his levels of maturity and that Matthew’s call had been the trigger. Pip calls time on their arrangement which was supposed to be mutually beneficial fun, with no strings or exclusivity and she can well do without the drama that it seems to turning into.
