Against advice, Oliver still favours letting the farm to Ed.

Radio Times: Matt discovers who his friends are.

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • Accompanying Caroline on her morning ride, Oliver reports the financial advice he has sought about letting the farm to Ed; it’s not encouraging; they would be better off selling.
  • Lilian has fended off a call from Brenda, who wanted to talk to Matt and who seemed upset. But Lilian is getting very cross with Matt: he cannot carry on like this and he is not getting it sorted. Actually he claims that he has taken charge and given Chalkie’s PA an ultimatum: if he doesn’t get in touch by this afternoon, that’s it – all bets are off.
  • Oliver is still agonising over his problem when they encounter the boar party; Jazzer, Tony and David have found no trace of Harry. The fact is Oliver doesn’t want to sell, certainly not the farmhouse – or the land either. He will look at the figures and then talk to Ed.
  • The text message from Chalkie must be a wind-up; it just tells Matt not to say anything! What is he playing at? Lilian knows. It’s what he has been doing all along – stitching Matt up.
