Will and Nic announce their joy. Tom’s sorrow is showing through.
Radio Times: Jazzer seals a deal, and good news arrives for Eddie and Clarrie.
Characters: Clarrie, Eddie, Jazzer, Nic, Pat, Tony, William- The deal has been sealed: Ed and Jazzer have bought the machinery they need for shearing. Now they need a pickup. Tony is incensed when Jazzer tells him that, for his last interview, Jim has signed up Brian. Why didn’t he ask Tom? Jazzer doubts if Jim would get much out of Tom at the moment: he is clearly preoccupied.
- It’s odd for William and Nic to call on Clarrie and Eddie on a weekday but the reason is soon clear. They are going to have a baby. Clarrie is overjoyed, though she later confides to Eddie that she hadn’t seen that coming: she thought Nic didn’t want another baby.
- Helen’s date with Jonathon seemed to have gone well and has put a spring in Helen’s step; she and Jonathon are going out for a meal on Helen’s birthday. Tom, on the other hand is being difficult. It’s odd that he is not saying much to Jazzer; perhaps he is having doubts about the drastic step he has talked them into – getting rid of the herd. He pressed them so hard about it and now – nothing. It’s not good enough. What’s going on in that head of his?
