Adam shares his troubles with his Mum.

Radio Times: Adam makes an unwelcome discovery.

• Great news! Debbie is coming home for a few days. Brian hopes she will do a turn on the combine. Adam also thinks it is great – but he doesn’t mean it! Brian observes that Adam is not overjoyed about Debbie – or anything else right now. Jennifer is convinced that he has something on his mind.
• As Tom and Alice help Adam erect the marquee at the magi-maze, Ian calls by. The others are sent away long enough for Adam to turn down Ian’s suggestion of supper together – not tonight, too busy.
• Adam calls in to have a chat with Mum and explains about Ian’s desire to father Madds’ child; it seems to mean more to him that Adam does. He has opened a letter to Ian from a fertility clinic which clearly indicates that plans are further advanced than he has been told; probably Madds and Ian have met again. Brian interrupts for long enough to tell Adam that he has told David a white lie about the combine to pacify him. Jennifer’s advice is to keep talking; if there is a solution she is sure they will find it.
