After Vicky putting her foot in it at the shop, Clarrie has disappeared.

Radio Times: Vicky puts her foot in it. Meanwhile Eddie begins to worry.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Clarrie hasn’t had any response to her card in the shop window. Susan tries to encourage her but not much luck. Vicky manages to put her foot in it by arriving and not knowing Clarrie was there and saying how people weren’t interested in the card because they won’t have that “dirty” woman cleaning for them.
  • Joe is looking at ways of making extra money but Eddie and Joe are puzzled as to where Clarrie is. No note, no supper, nothing. Eddie will just have to check out The Bull to see if she’s there.
  • Jim thinks Joe should have some intellectual stimulation for his 90th. Maybe Battleship Potemkin to mark his year of birth or a quiz of significant events from 1921. Bert isn’t convinced. Eddie and Bert suggest a comedy hour or a cribbage tournament. And Jim is taken by cribbage as a plan though Eddie isn’t. He even thinks The Bull should get all the old games of table skittles and shove halfpenny.
  • Vicky pops round to see Clarrie to apologise but she still isn’t back.
  • When Clarrie still isn’t back, Eddie rings Susan who tells him that Clarrie was upset when she left the shop but she doesn’t know where she’s gone. They begin to get worried.
