Characters: Alan, Bert, David, Joe, Ruth- Competition over the flower and produce show is hotting up between Bert and Joe when Bartleby goes lame. Not great timing with the wedding on Friday. Joe hopes Usha doesn’t find out. But it gives Joe a chance to get into the swap club with a series of IOUs.
- Ruth and David are getting ready for the next village meeting on the digester when they come across Alan having had an accident on his bike. He’s a bit battered and bruised but his only concern is whether his wedding trousers are okay. He is also worried that Usha will find out and worry.
