Radio Times: Alice and Amy get political.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Alan imagines everyone is going to be worried about the foot and mouth outbreak. They’ve done all they can at Home Farm. But Amy is more concerned that Alice isn’t bothering to turn up to help with the Fair Trade stall. Adam explains to Alan that he is planning to suggest that Alice comes to stay at Honeysuckle.
  • Everyone is listening to the sermon in church when Clarrie suddenly screams. She thinks she saw a snake. She wondered if she was dreaming but she is sure she saw it. Alan certainly found it as an unusual reaction to his sermons.
  • Alice agrees to move. She needs some support and she isn’t getting it from Amy. Amy has also planned her gap year – the work and the orphanage and the trekking afterwards and she tells Peggy all about it. She is impressed but hopes she’ll take care. She is also worried that Alice is trying to join the RAF because of what has happened at home but Alice assures her it is really what she wants.
  • Alice plans to move out and Alan wishes her well but Amy is grudging at best.
