Radio Times: Alistair faces his demons.

  • Alistair and Shula are still disagreeing about the holiday and they aren’t really getting on over the Gamblers’ Anonymous meeting either. Shula finds solace with Kenton. Alistair instantly meets Maurice the butcher at his meeting – but he is promised that people’s secrets are kept. Alistair tries to leave the meeting half way through – he’s not like them after all. But Maurice convinces him that he really is – just like them.
  • Kenton is happy to see Shula – but he reaches for the Scotch when she keeps talking about how tough the loan is and how they can’t afford a gite. Shula sees that as him taking Alistair’s side. Kenton tries to convince her having a mortgage isn’t the end of the world – it’s the same for everyone. For someone like him looking at Shula still owning the stables with a husband and son under the same roof she needs to look at how good things are and not to risk losing it.
