Ambridge is awash with gossip.

Radio Times: Lynda learns at the hands of an expert.

  • The Echo has printed a couple of paragraphs about Owen’s trial, and a worried Kenton rings Lizzie, asking her to make sure Kathy knows about it before she hears it from others. Nigel comes into the office, and says that Hayley is already talking about it.
  • A glum Robert, aka Dylan Nells, has been given a commission – to interview Blaize Montpellier, wife of a local football club owner, and self-styled grooming consultant. Robert says flatly he won’t go, but Lynda is all for it; she’ll write the article for him.
  • To Kathy’s relief, Owen is not granted bail, and when Hayley shows her the Echo piece, she’s able to take it calmly.
  • Years of marriage to Nigel enable Lizzie to know when he’s got one of his cunning plans. This time it’s to buy a shire horse to help with work in the vineyard and hauling wood. In fact, Lizzie’s quite interested, and it would be a green thing to do.
  • Lynda is full of her session with Blaize when she returns, and has even taken some of her criticism in a positive manner. She’s come back with plenty of style tips and some socialite gossip. Lynda, too, sees the echo, and begins to wonder about the events of Christmas 2005; was it really flu that caused Kathy to disappear from view?
