  • Toby is still playing with his video. Rex tells him that they’ve already lost the order from the Bridge Farm shop. But Toby still thinks the video will work now they’ve got more orders for the geese.
  • Jill and Carole have tea. Carole is worried about Anna, especially now Max is seeing someone else. It was all very difficult. Anna clearly didn’t like seeing Rob yesterday. It reminded her of a difficult and similar case which Anna lost. She hasn’t taken on a case like this since and it is bringing back bad memories.
  • Pip passes by on her way to the Fairbrothers. Jill isn’t impressed. She thinks they are leading Pip astray. Carole says she is confident that Pip can make her own decisions.
  • Rex is worried that Josh has spoiled things for himself over the hens but Toby is convinced it will be fine. Josh has to work on the new loan agreement as well as a letter of apology to Neil and Hayley. Toby tries to persuade Pip to do the voice over for the new version of the video. Pip suggests she’ll do it for another sample of Wayne’s tasting menu. Toby offers crisps.
  • Carole and Anna talk about the case which had broken her and Max up – a similar domestic abuse case. But that time round, Anna was the prosecutor. Because the case was lost, the abuser was allowed back into the family home. Carole says Anna shouldn’t blame herself. She did her best. Carole assumes the man was like Rob – plausible and charming. Anna agrees. But this time the abuse started again and he killed her. Anna was desperate to find out how she went wrong. No one thought she could do more. But she blamed herself. And that was why they split up. Anna thought she was ready for a new case, to put it behind her. But at the Family Court she lost it. Carole tries to convince her she just had a momentary blip. Does Helen even believe in her? She hasn’t been in touch since the hearing. Maybe it would be better if Helen found someone else.
