Annette seems keen to linger in Ambridge
Radio Times: Helen puts her memories on ice.
Characters: Annette, David, Helen, Jill, Ruth- Annette and Helen are enjoying some time on the skating rink; it brings back memories of happy times with dad. She has little to say about mum and Sonia, who is living with someone in Nantes.
- Jill is sad about the news of the demise of The Royal Show but the industry is changing. Ruth discusses David’s idea for Phil’s birthday: he has met someone who knew Phil way back, so they are planning a reunion.
- Helen gets out her photographs; Annette is keen to see Greg’s dog, which is with Will. In fact she seems in no hurry to move on, though Helen doesn’t appear to latch on to the fact.
- Jill is combining weaker hives into a stronger one; meanwhile she shares with Ruth that she was pleased to see Shula (and donkey) at church, however temporarily.
- Annette is interested in the new lagoon project and it doesn’t seem too much of a hardship to stay until Tuesday to hear all about it from the consultant. Badgered by Helen, she rings her gran (or maybe doesn’t) and, hey presto, the way is clear for Annette to stay.
