Characters: Betty, Brenda, Jill, Mike, Phil, Roy, Susan, Wayne Foley- At the crack of dawn Mike brings Betty a cup of tea and forewarns that she’s going to be queen for a day. After a picnic lunch in the country park, being Wayne Foley’s birthday guest on his radio show, she has a surprise gathering in her honour in the village hall rounded off with dinner at Grey Gables. All this as another Elizabeth celebrated her birthday, too.
- Elsewhere, Phil finally succumbs to Jill’s subtle tricks and agrees to play the piano for the Mikado.
