Brian and Jennifer begin to think it would be a good thing if Lilian took up with Paul instead of Matt.
Radio Times: Adam prepares for a fruitful summer, and Jennifer’s surprised to find Paul even closer to home.
Characters: Adam, Brian, Jennifer, Lilian, Paul, Peggy- Home Farm is getting ready for the strawberry pickers. Jennifer is still worrying about Kate and hopes she stays in South Africa but Adam tries to convince her it will be a good thing. Brian doesn’t agree with her either so she is outnumbered.
- Paul turns up at the Lodge to fix the cooker hood and Peggy wonders who he is but Lilian doesn’t give anything away. Jennifer arrives and, of course, recognises him. Paul fixes the hood and then goes onto a leaking tap. She tells Lilian again that she is playing a dangerous game even though Paul is such a nice man. Jennifer begins to wonder if Lilian is actually worried about Matt coming home.
- Adam is planning on extending his range. Local cherries should have quite a market. Ian has already said he wants some for Grey Gables.
- Later Jennifer tells Brian about Paul and they both begin to wonder if it would be a good thing if Lilian were to dump Matt for Paul or another decent man like him. Such a contrast from Matt.
