Brian is in the dark about Borchester Land’s planning application.

Radio Times: Brian has some explaining to do.

Characters: Brian, Jennifer, Lilian, Matt, Pat, Tony

• Good news, Brian has the signed farm contract from Debbie and makes a big point of contacting Adam for him to sign it too. Before heading off for lunch with Lilian, Jennifer reports that Tony has left a message; he wants to talk to Brian but it seems that we have a better idea than Brian does about the subject.
• Pat has sent off their tenancy agreement to the TFA for advice. Tony still hasn’t been able to administer a rocket to his brother-in-law for not telling them about the planning application: Brian is not answering his phones.
• Lilian has a surprise for Jennifer; lunch will be preceded by a few holes of golf. Lilian tries lobbying Matt on Tony’s behalf. Jennifer agrees to the golf but eventually decides that six holes are enough; lunch on Matt should not be delayed any longer.
• Tony finally catches up with Brian in person and, of course, assumes that Brian knows all about the planning application. Brian puts him right on this and agrees to talk to Matt. Tony administers a similar promise to Pat’s: they will do everything in their power to see that it never happens.
