Brian might get a complex
Radio Times: Brian might get a complex
Characters: Brian, Eddie, Jennifer, Larry, Neil, Tony, William- Eddie’s found an old chicken feeder (grain hopper) and is, with William’s help, covering it with branches and leaving it near the Home Farm birds. A nice little earner by way of enticing the birds onto their land. William’s not sure Greg will like it, but that doesn’t stop Eddie whos in the Bull later failing to convince Neil and Tony (who were decrying the merger over a pint) of the wisdom of buying some of the birds.
- Brian finally spills his dastardly secret to Jennifer – Matt Crawford and the rest of Borchester Land what to develop some (more) of the estate land, sports clubs, lodges, leisure park. They reason that with Home Farm’s existing riding, shooting and fishing, it’ll be a surefire winner. Brian has got serious misgivings over its viability.
- Larry wanders into the Bull and pins the cast list up. It’s a tad unconventional to say the least, Tracy Horrobin as Jack, Trudy as Odourous Egg, Baggy and Snatch as Daisy the Cow, Freda Fry’s there too. Eddie kindly suggests that are people in the village that won’t like his choice (meanwhile Larry’s coming out with his well-rehearsed ensemble speech) and suggests he maintain a low profile for a couple of days.
- William’s outside the Bull guarding the van and, embarrassingly, Jennifer wanders past and admires the birds! Neil comes out to head home and suggests to William that he might want to come along tomorrow to the bell-ringing practice as they’re still trying to put together a new team to do justice to the new bells when they ring in the Millennium with something special. William’s not sure but Neil’s been a rep and is giving him the hard-sell like a pro!
