  • Larry’s continuing his tour of bad news to unlucky panto candidates, calling on first Lynda and then Debbie, managing to deliver the same rejection speech of the importance of integrating the artiste into the ensemble (which hammy French pronounciation that no-one manages to understand first time) and how they gave auditions displaying talent, but not right for the concept he is seeking. This concept though, neo-realist and streetwise, mixing gritty sadness with melancholy gaiety (or peculiar subversion of the genre, according to Lynda), finds itself manifested in Baggie and Snatch who, we discover, are to play the two halves of Daisy, the pantomime cow.
  • Lynda doesn’t take too kindly to the rejection and she’s also a little unamused at Peggy’s “interference” in the fashion show, while she can just about accept Bert, she’s baulking at having to choreograph Joe!
  • Jennifer’s preparing the recipes for next week’s shoot and has selecting traditional English dishes. Brian’s pleased with Greg’s preperations but seems to have something on his mind, something he’s not willing to tell Jennifer.
